Behind the Camera
Hi, I’m Marta.
Based in Barcelona, I have a background in Business, Marketing, and Communication, fields that have shaped the way I understand ideas, people, and the world around me.
I’ve always been naturally curious, outgoing, and highly communicative. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people, exchanging perspectives, and discovering new ways of doing things. I’m someone who is constantly looking to learn, grow, and challenge myself through new experiences.
I’m also highly proactive and organised. When I believe in an idea, I like to take it further — from the initial thought to turning it into something tangible. I enjoy taking responsibility, bringing people together, and finding creative solutions along the way.
Alongside my academic background, creativity has always been an important part of who I am. Photography has become one of the ways I express that side of myself, allowing me to capture experiences, emotions, and moments that I find meaningful.
This is where JÖN STUDIO comes in. What started as a personal creative project has become a space where I can explore my perspective, experiment with visual storytelling, and develop ideas that reflect who I am.
I believe that the most interesting projects happen when curiosity, creativity, and purpose come together. I’m still exploring where that combination will take me, but I know I want to keep creating, learning, and building things that have meaning.

THE ORIGIN
JÖN comes from Manjón, my surname.
I wanted to transform something personal into an identity that represented my creative vision. By taking the essence of Manjón and reducing it to JÖN, I created a name that feels simple, distinctive, and entirely mine.
The Ö gives the identity its own character. It represents the difference between simply capturing an image and creating something with intention.
JÖN is not just a name. It is a way of expressing who I am through what I see and create.

I believe every project begins with the desire to discover something new. I am constantly looking for different perspectives, unexpected details, and new ways of seeing.
Authenticity
I want my work to feel honest. I don't photograph simply to create something beautiful, but to capture something that feels real and meaningful.
Emotion
An image becomes memorable when it makes you feel something. Emotion is at the centre of my approach to photography.
Attention to Detail
Light, composition, texture, timing, and atmosphere all matter. I believe that the smallest details can completely change the way a story is perceived.
Creativity
I approach every project as an opportunity to explore. I enjoy experimenting, taking risks, and finding a visual language that feels unique to each story.
Intention
Every image has a reason to exist. I don't believe in creating for the sake of creating. I want every frame to communicate something.
